This Friday The GFL is keeping it real and local with the summer's most anticipated musical event - an epic throwdown with The Sarcastic Dharma Society in the cozy confines of The Jade Lounge! Jiggaa WAAAAA??? Are you for srrrrs???? Yes, yes I am. Once we lug our gear into that room, anything could happen. The only thing we know for sure is that by the end of the night I'll be sauced, Garrett will have consumed 99 bottles of beer (with some help from Jess), and Shannon will be left helpless in the corner wedged behind her Pokemon drum kit for all of eternity.
Things kick off at 8pm with The Sarcastic Dharma Society, who released an awesome covers album this year that's available for free on their website http://lessthanthreerecords.com. Check it out.
Speaking of free stuff, I also just made the last Solyoni album, "Kenesaw Mountain Landis", available as a free download at http://solyoni.bandcamp.com. That will help tide you over until we have some Grapefruit League recordings ready for you.
